[Jaroslav Klaus] “First I’ve read there’s still old bug in QT not being able to deinterlace at all (?). I’ve read this somewhere in forum on Apple’s support page. “

Do you have a link to this thread?

Is/was your source shot as interlaced? or is it in fact Progressive material that you have tried to interlace?

[Jaroslav Klaus] “What codec is recommended for 1080i50 for computer players?”

Computer players are generally progressive as 99% of computer displays are progressive.

[Jaroslav Klaus] “Do you know any combination of H.264 codec and videoplayer (PC or Mac) that plays interlaced HD video properly?”

Quicktime will as long as your source is and was acquired as interlaced

What codec does your Quicktime file use?

Where do you want this DVD to play? (in a DVD player or on a Mac/PC)

It’s going to be very difficult to find help &support for such an old version of compressor.

    There is this:https://www.digitalrebellion.com/compressor_repair.htm

But as you’ll see it’s only designed for compressor 3

Try searching way back in this forum, say 4 to 6 years ago….

  • Unless things have changed recently Adobe licences the H.264 codec SDK in AME from Mainconcept.

    You mean the jerkiness?

Strange – it plays perfectly on my iPhone.

Something going wrong at Youtube I suspect.

What are you worried about then?

  • [Shawn Romano] “but when I put the result on the card and pop it into the player, nothing is there?”

You normally have to create a directory structure, follow a naming convention or look for an option in the menus that show hidden file or shows ‘everything’
