Awesome, thanks alot for all the help guys, there is a lot of helpful information there, I can always rely on the creativecow forum 🙂 Think im gonna go with the firewire drive having read that….

do you know if using a separate pci card with firewire ports makes a difference to performance at all?

all the footage is PAL on PAL systems……should it be lower field first?

The images look fine in AE…its only when u render them out that the quality goes dodgy. I have tried loads of different codecs all with the same result. When I do Export as… the problem doesn’t happen but the quality isnt as good. Whereas when I do Make Movie, the quality is great, but the slow mo parts are all weird.

im not sure what u mean by host editing syste?

but the save for web option is in photoshop……and im saving out from imageready…..how do i save as jpeg in imageready?

Have you got any tips on the compression/composition size to keep something that is 15 seconds at a decent size that wont take too long?

But when i copy and paste it is just copied over as a rasterized picture layer…u cant edit the text at all…..do u know what to do?

hi there, i want to render a stroke so that the drawing draws itself……so dont i need to copy the points over? if i import it as an illustrator file, to render a stroke will i still have 1000 masks?
