yes you are right…sorry my mistake, i meant to say i have a comp @1024*576 dv1 wide screen square pixel, and yes this is 25fps.
Referring to render dialog i was looking at the output module settings frame rate as oppose to the render settings drop down, for this reason i noticed that the frame rate in the drop down menu stated 30fps when i went to change it i realized that the comp settings and frame rate were in fact the settings it would use for the render.
25fps for pal dvd, 29 for ntsc and 24fps i guess would be if the video is intended for TV broadcast, but for DVD for pal is 25fps this is correct.
So all is well, a fully rendered comp @ 1024*576 25fps quicktime animation quality settings, render time 1hr and 37mins for 2 minutes based on these settings using a quad core@ 2.4ghz 4gb ram
