I have just tried it aka a master file, and then upload but it’s the same problem.
Can you please tell me how to adjust sequence settings? I think that is the problem.

    V new to Fcp x.

    Thanks in advance,
    Dan.

Thanks v much all for the post’s.
I am busy until tonight so will check out the suggestions.

Re the authoring, the sound is mixed and ready, but the video layer can be re done so need to get this sorted before we commence.

It was slom-mo’d at 75 percent and de-interlaced.

I did pull the original clip into Avid but the same thing happened. I can only think it was filmed at a really strange speed and the conversion is confusing it. I have a feeling it may need to be re tele-cinied (which would be a pain).

    Thanks again for post’s
    Dan.

    Thanks for the post.
The thing is there is loads of media. It has MXF’s added
to it every night. To locate it all is quite difficult. I tried ‘reveal file’ for a few but they are mixed up with
    other media files.

    Cheers,
    Dan.

I have managed to make it work, by making an AAF.
Can anyone please tell me if this will cause a problem going back the other way, or for the online?

    Thanks,
    Dan.

Thanks very much for the post’s.
So a simple paste is an insert edit, that’s great, Ty.

The effect I was trying to save as a favorite was a simple dissolve. Oh well, maybe next update?

That does sound handy you can change all effects at once, very cool, maybe that’s the workaround?

    Thanks for the help,
    Dan.

    Thanks for the post Joe,
I didn’t do this. Should I create a new folder on my portable drive and call it ‘Avid MediaFiles’

    Cheers,
    Dan.

Thanks very much for your post’s, I think when it comes to X I will have to be a bit more thorough with my saves.

    Thanks again,

    Yikes!
Ok Oliver, thanks very much for the post.
Big lesson learn’t there, dupe projects often.

    Thanks again,
    Dan.

    Hi Jerry,
    Thank you for your post.
I have got around the problem now. I couldn’t open the project, but could open earlier versions.
I then realised I could check the save vault for last versions of the project without opening it.
And sure enough, to my great relief, I found the sequences I needed.

It was odd, a project that did work 2 weeks ago, suddenly becomes corrupt and can’t be opened or copied.
Do you know to avoid that happening?

    Cheers,
    Dan.

December 29, 2012 at 9:40 pm in reply to: FCP is not exporting full sequence

Yes, if you are in the UK it is PAL.
When I use to use fcp 7 I simply exported the sequence as is, I just went to file, export, (or cmd E) Then, once exported, convert that file. I would use a DVD burner like DVD Pro, that would compress the file to the correct size. It is very simple like this, but can take a while. I am sure someone on this forum can advise a quicker way.

Most important tho is to try not to panic. When I starting cutting, deadlines used to freak me out, very stressful. But there is always a way around a problem.

Anything over an hour will take a while to export.

    Cheers,
    Dan.
