    Beware!
If you are running Snow Leopard and FCP7 the software update also updates the firmware on the Mini.
I am running a dual boot system Lion 7.02 with FCPx on one partition and SL 10.6.8 with FCP 7.03 on the other. Once the firmware is updated you can’t use the Matrox Mini with 7.03.

Thank you all for the help. I was not sure that two firewire devices would work at the same time.

Final Cut gets confused when two firewire display/capture devices are plugged in. If capturing from camera, connect it to monitor playback, disconnect ADVC. When finished then reconnect ADVC 110

Consider your typical lighting requirements. All 1/3inch cameras are much less sensitive than standard def cameras 1/3inch.

Go with the foam backed fabric. Very easy to light. Very hard to get hot spots. Fabric wrinkles don’t show.
It is the best shade of green I have worked with.

June 21, 2005 at 12:39 pm in reply to: edit to tape G5, Tiger, FCP 5

I have had this problem. I was never able to trace where it came from. Tried all the remedies you mentioned. Finally spent last saturday doing a erase and clean install of 10.41, FCP studio and my other apps. Edit to tape now works again.

June 13, 2005 at 1:11 pm in reply to: Edit to tape issue

I set up the machine with two users from the begining for testing purposes. So I logged in as the other user, after putting my project file in the shared folder. Edit to tape then worked. Back to my user name and it did not work.
