You’re right there. It took me 2 sessions to figure out I needed to highlight the chapter 1 marker……..

Thanks for your time and information. The timecode issue is not a problem for me so I guess I’m off and capturing.

I guess I should have been more clear in my question. Sorry. i was talking about direct from camera to hard drive. I was pleased to discover that the answer was yes.

    Thanks for your time.

    Thanks everyone.

I guess my only problem now is that when I talk to the client I’ll be afraid that I’m offering “Uncontrolled Advice”.

    Awesome

My apologies. I quite often record direct to hard drive using Adobe Premiere 1.5 in order to save myself digitizing time.

Premiere Pro also allows direct from camera shooting. Saves me tons of time dumping over later,

Thanks Ron I really look forward to it. By the way do you think it would be possible to open up a new forum for after effects expressions. That would truly be another excellent cow resource that many people could use.

    Thanks for everything

I have found something that I think is worth noting. The art of editing appears to be undervalued in the low end of the market where I live. I get the impression that clients think they can do the editing themselves or give it to their 10 year old.

However I never have a problem when I discuss charging for my work in AE even with my limited skillset.

Is it just me or have others run into this as well

This happened to me. My project was under 700mb so my burning software kept defaulting to cd instead of dvd. Check it out

Is it really necessary to import all sequences at the same time?
I import just the sequence I need and have never had a problem. I have, however found that the effects such as keying don’t transfer into AE with the project so I am reluctant to do much more than use
AE as a render option for premiere project that are just straight cuts.
