I agree whole heartedly. This is a BAD idea. As for the above mentioned problems you can develope bad ear infections from the sweaty conditions of constant headphone use. Not to mention clotheslining yourself ( done it ) when getting up and forgetting you have them on. IMHO if they are serious about these docs, they should be doing final mix in n audio sweet. Thats the best way you prep it they mix it< Its what they do. A cut is a cut & a dissolve is a disolve, and not just anybody with a system is a pro.

Im for it. I am tired of clients asking for “Film Look” and having no clue what that is. As well as “Are we shooting 24P?” They can even tell me what it is or why they want it. If producer A shoots 24P Producer B has to shoot 24P so his project is not inferior to producer A’s, and while were at it can you add the film look? Producer A doesn’t have that………

Aaron, There’s not much you can do. I usually make sure to wear something comfy, especially if i am the only one in the office, put on some music i like, play it low enough to be able to hear the audio but high enough that you or your subconcious can hear it and get to it. Take a regular break to smoke or whatever teh get right back at it. its the only way you can make the time go faster, with out the use of illicit drugs, and then who knows how the video would turn out. Good luck

Kind of reminds me of the Reebok ads from years ago. Very fast full of images, sensory overload. I like it.

She’s WAY behind I have had at least a dozen nappers. and they all snore. I have had the one drinker who kept spilling wine all over himself. He was that drunk. He was later heard to proclaim best edit decisions he ever made. I happen to agree, but not for the same reasons.
