And a HUGE bottle of advil. Also i notice the lens flares that keep showing up for no apparent reason, they are prolly disguising some stuff. Just a good guess.

AN d when I was in school they taught us to hold the camera still. Avoid flash frames, wicked jump cuts and that crap at the end of the film reel. I think the reason we see it so much is that its a good way to give a feeling of depth to a flat object or background.

I think in todays market, trailers are not cut to get you interested in the story as Bill stated they should be. I think more often than not they are strictly advertising. Look heres a quick shot of an explosion you can see the whole shot of for $10. and for a lot of the world today, ie super spazzed out kids hopped up on redbull, thats enough. If they showed you some of the slower spots in a film that lead to character and story development, that would bore the hell out of the redbull kids and no one would see the movie. and I think thats unfortunate.

I agree with yo Shane, but I also see your wifes point. What we do is an art. Its very subjective. There are a million ways to put together a film and its up to us to figure out the best one.With out the editor, the best shot footage and captured audio is just a pile of useless pretty pictures with no form.

BUT. on the other hand try explaining that to your mom and or family next holiday. My grandmother used to think that when i was on vacation they would have to rerun shows on TV. I think that was a way of trying to explain what we do to a mass audience that has absolutely no clue. Hell I cant get my producer to understand it half the time. I do think it would have been better if TP was in drag for the segment but alas he was not. I have never understood why people think he is so funny.

then any thing else you can or wan to put. Sometimes networks or stations have specific things they want in specific place and believe me they will let you know what they want all you have to do is ask them.

Great setup Grinner, I have always favored looking at my client. It make the usual chit chat easier as well. Oh yeah I eat in the suite too. If you have never eaten in the suite you have never truly edited.

Wacom Intous, Model PTZ631W. Perfect size. Wide screen feel. I dont use the POS mouse either. I am addicted the the mac mouse nipple. I did not know there was anything other than wacom. HA!
