very hard to answer – by “slowing people down”, do you mean file-size download times? if so, that’s also very subjective, because if you have low-res previews (the 400×400 size), then i can see that pretty well as is, so if i was getting a 1600×1600 or something by clicking someplace, i’d be willing to wait, and it should only take a few seconds to download that anyway…
do you have some more context to your question?

looks like you have that form in a frame, and on pc versions of browsers, the frame is cutting off below the comments box but above the submit button – i’d start there…

dreamweaver is very straightforward – you can always download a demo and give it a try as well to see what you think…
wrt ftp for mac – cyberduck is pretty good…

you can use tools like wordpress (more blog-based) or others like that, or there are online tools that allow you to build and maintain a website w/o knowing html – things like a cms tool or the likes..

typically if you want to use them legally, you will have to pay – in most cases, any picture of a person will require a release from them to use…getty handles the legal portion of it, but you still might have limitations from even them…
so i don’t know of any legal photo repositories of entertainment or other photos…you can check getty’s site for reproduction usages, as you might be able to use them in some cases if you provide proper credit, but that would take some research…

getty images is a very large holder of celebrity/entertainment/news photos like that – they are not going to be cheap, but you can legally obtain them from getty:

get a finder window in the foreground and go to finder -> preferences – probably somehow the setting to show it on the desktop got unchecked…

having a very hard time following this question, but the only way to get flash in a page is to embed it – you can use an activex component either directly written in html or via javascript…
have you tried the former? you don’t _have_ to use javascript to embed a flash movie…
