Can you provide a picture of what you’re seeing? All of Vegas’ windows can be manually adjusted to fit the screen by double clicking the top border or dragging from a corner. I am running larger screens than that on both 13 and 14.

Thanks Steve. Yes, I already tried resetting the workspace to no avail. The only button in the bottom right is still “close.” Any other ideas? It looks like I may need to contact Boris directly about this. I wonder if it is an issue with the new Magix integration. Is anybody running the new MVP 14 with BCC 10?

I just wanted to give my two cents on this since I do this quite often. The easiest method is if you have a static solid background. I believe this is what you did. Simply place the backgrounds all around the phone leaving a “hole” as suggested.

Another option would be to create the photo layer separately. To do this simply create a new project the same size as the device screen. So if it is an iPhone make it 750×1334, 640×1136, or 1080×1920 (depending on the size of your final output.) Then all you have to do is line ALL your photos up on your timeline in the new project and apply the push transition to each. You can then simply render this out in say 750×1334 with an alpha channel using avi or png sequence. Now simply put that rendered file back into your original project, underneath the device layer. Make sure to enable the alpha channel in the media properties. That’s it!

Considering the amount of time Magix had to put out “their” next version, I am super happy. What did everyone expect? Absolutely everything fixed and every feature added already? That’s crazy.

For me, I purchased MVP 14 WITH the suite and I couldn’t be happier. I already can’t wait to see what they do with 15. Keep up the good work!

  • That would definitely work as long as the camera operator can stay on the device as it moves. I think the best option may be connecting the device and the camera to one contraption so when I move the device the camera stays with the device.

Support for 3D models would be amazing. If not possible, at least a better more robust connection with Hitfilm so we can easily integrate Hitfilm’s 3D model support into our workflow.

Super stoked to read this. I am a professional user. I’ve been semi stressing out about finding a suitable alternative to Vegas Pro, but now I don’t have to 🙂

Thanks John. I’ve been so used to .avi that I actually do render uncompressed with alpha. Very large files indeed, so I will give png sequence a try. I currently render 3d models with alpha in ae or hitfilm then bring into Vegas.
