A video colleague of mine sent it to me. Here are the specs listed from Quicktime:

Format: Apple DV, 720X480
Movie FPS: 29.97
Data Size: 51.38 MB
Data Rate: 3.42 MB (28.77 MBps)
Duration: 00:00:14:29
Size: 720X480

I plays fine in quicktime pro, but stutters like crazy in Premiere for some reason?

One more question. What software encodes photo jpeg? I have procoder and don’t see it as a preset? Does the quicktime pro encoder do this?

Hey Ben. Thanks for taking the time to answer. I tried what you reccomended, but it seems like in this case, you can have the first copy of the video fade to black and the second copy fade up from black, but not dissolve into each other. Am I doing anything wrong?

No, I have never shot anything in 16:9. Everything has always been 4:3. I Talked to canopus and they said that something in the video is triggering the 16:9 setting, but it should still render correctly.

Oh, and did I mention the classic response from tech support? When I mentioned that I couldn’t get the watermark feature, his suggestions was “That is something you should do to your video in your video editing program.” If I wanted to do that, why the heck would I buy ProCoder?!?!?! Then, when I said that bitmaps don’t do alphas, he said, “Use a JPEG.” Then I said, JPEG’s don’t do Alpha’s he said, “Use a PDF.” A PDF?!?!?!?!?!?!

I think I am going to have to get BH to give me a refund. Does Cleaner do REAL watermarks?

No dice. I did a 32 bit targa in photoshop. ProCoder did allow me to import it and did recognize it as an image with an alpha channel. (It wouldn’t allow a tiff.) However, the watermark didn’t show up at all. Called tech support. They were clueless.

Very frustrating considering the ability to add a “watermark” was one of the main reasons I shelled out the $450.

Anything I am missing here?
