April 30, 2015 at 8:54 pm in reply to: Bezier masks for simle compositing?

There is the Pen tool on many Effects in PPro but Opacity is definitely the one to use for simple compositing.

Its kind of logical actually for a Mask /Matte effect and nice it is easily accessible on Fixed Effects

But maybe Adobe could have made a separate Effect called “Mask” to make it really obvious though.

    Using the Pen Tool –
Click and Drag on the point creates the bezier handles if anyone else ins unclear how that works. Ctrl and Alt allow editing the points.

  • Hey Scott

Clicking anywhere in the Sequence except the “time bar” will leave the play head where it is located.

I also use a short cut to focus to the Sequence Pane (F4 custom)

I also use the Navigation Bar at the bottom of the Sequence Pane to expand / contract the timeline.

If you need to comp a patch in ..use a Mask from Opacity.

If in AEFX ..maybe rotoscope it out and fill the BG with a patch.

Always hard to advise without seeing the issue. ( image)

How can I export truly lossless video from Premiere Pro CC

Only way I can think of “lossless” is bit for bit

Playback your source file without exporting it and the only loss will be in the display hardware and the media player.

..so theoretically …its impossible. The source file is beyond the capabilities of the display hardware.

Plenty of options if your need is for Post Production Workflows. eg DPX

Anecdotally I see evidence this is connected with Mac OS updates.

Previously there was something similar with “Magic Mouse”.

I am not a MAC guy… so take this with a grain of salt and your own experiences.

Its not happening on Win PCs as far as I know.
