Jeff – I am convinced this is a Matrox issue and I worked long and hard to get the answers to the “curse”. I never saw it again once I dumped the card from my NLE and I am totally happy with the performance and stability of PremPro 2 sans Matrox.

BTW: I was able to improve the Matrox stability with a large number of tweaks but never got 100%

You may want to try Clip Notes as a delivery method for client review.

This does not actually burn in TC but the TC of the timeline is available for the client to see on a frame by frame basis and they can append notes at these points.

Quicker than burning TC and very cool. My clients are liking it a lot.

You will struggle to light a green screen plus the subject with two lights.(especially @ 500watts) Get some lights you can plug in and for out doors, use a reflector or two.

I use the short cut keys

Pg Dn to end of the clip then ALT “]”
Pg Up to head of the clip then ALT “[”

(or any other way you can position the CTI to the work area you want to select)

  • Wait till you get the Prod Suite before you decide. You seem happy enough so far but you should expect some improvement with the new App.

    Do not expect RT CC.

What you are doing should work but another way if you want a black BG – put the title you create over a Black Matte.

I also have Autosave disabled because it can save “errors” or stages in the workflow that you do not want and it is demanding on system resources that may be needed elsewhere while I edit.

I have a CTRL-S habit and I keep a backup copy of the project that I regularly save to (on major chnges or every half hour – whichever comes first).

The dissapearing transitions issue from the OP is a mystery and I can not even think of a way to do it if I wanted to.

(Maybe some render files got deleted).
