    Hi. Just a brief answer would be nice, as I know this has been asked hundreds of times.

    I have a Dell Dimension 8300. Pentium 4 3.2 HyperThreading, 2 gb ram, and a X800 Radeon graphics card. This computer is 2 years old.     Wait till you get the Prod Suite before you decide. You seem happy enough so far but you should expect some improvement with the new App.

    Unless you’re doing a ton of compositing, give yourself a bit more time. If you’re die-hard intel, it seems there’s some new products coming down the pipe from them, you’ll probably be happy you waited.

    I’m using a 3.0 Ghz Intel with a 5600XT card… with Production Studio it’s just fine.

    Of course, I have access to an AMD Dual Core 4800+ with an NVidia 7800GTX card. It’s a lot nicer, but I can do the job on the other system without much more delay (unless I’m compositing).
