hey thanks for the reply
Its nothing to do with particle life, its more for when im interacting with certain properties, its not reflecting these interactions in the preview window.
I change things, it shows but then when i scrub or ram preview it glitches out, particles jumping from one keyframe to the next but not showing the animation between the key frames.
Ive reinstalled ae, tried it in a different version of AE and its still the same…
Not fun 🙁

Updated and it seems to have helped but I have just hit into the same issue with particle size and key frames.
Really bugging me that I cant do what i need :-S
Are there any other settings that could affect it?

I worked out what my issue was, iw as doing 20 samples of motion blur on the comp, bumped that down a tad and it works much nicer!
Out of interest, currently my media cache is on the same SSD as my os, would getting a separate SSD for media cache significantly improve things?

Thanks for the tips both of you! Im pretty much sure that Im on the way to getting it now,
I did forsee the problems with DV dave, but I didnt have some nice dvcpro-hd camera to shoot on.
Out of interest what do you recon to shooting chromakey stuff with a dslr? Better colour space but is the compression even worse to key? Too late for that now but I would like to know for next time 🙂
Many thanks again!

Hi David,
Many thanks for the speedy reply, but i dont think its either of these issues. I was kinda wondering if there is a way using expressions or whatever to keep the point of interest locked to a point as i move the camera’s position…
any ideas?
Cheers,
