I also wanted to thank Don Gordoni (Sp). This forum is so helpful and it is really refreshing to know that people are taking the time. I hope I can return the favor someday.

    Hey Steve,

No I haven’t. I hope that solution is not necessary, but if need be I will attempt. I would be seriously disappointed if all projects in Vegas going forward have to be rendered as such.

    Thanks for the advice.

    Thanks Terry

I figured that may be an issue. Maybe I will only nest to improve the playback during edits.

It would still be great to get some ideas on the other questions about rendering templates. Thanks again.

I am having the same problem. If anyone has any suggestions, I would also love to hear them. Thanks.

8.1 works fine for me, but unfortunately 3rd party softwares are not up to speed just yet.

Blackmagic Design and Raylight haven’t quite caught up yet. Hope they do soon. As of right now I am still using 8.0b because of the functionality.

Spoke to dvfilm directly and got the codec to view quicktime files in vista 64 bit. Thanks.

Thanks all. It turns out I just didn’t have my Decklink HD driver installed correctly for 64 bit. This has been a true trial and error.
    Thanks again.

Thanks for all your help John.

I updated the software to Sony Vegas 8 Pro c, from 8 Pro b and this helped. Then I started reading about 8.1 and the Vista 64 bit OS, and decided to do a clean install of the new OS. Now I am in a whole new world of issues. 1 step forward 2 steps back.

Vegas is running great however. And I was able to import directly from the DVD, so thanks again.

Does anyone think uninstalling and re-installing the program will help?
