Any experience with the stability of 8.1/64 bit? I have frequent crashes with 8.0/32 bit.

    John,
    The 8.1 (64bit) version is working like a charm…flawless
integration and clear improvement in processing power…
unfortunately i have not ran all its abilities through the
paces or push it to the test in a real workflow editing
    environment as yet.

I wonder if there’s going to be a new plugin SDK for 64-bit Vegas. I’d like to port ColorLab to it, and am hoping they left the horrible DirectX Media system.

I have experienced crashes in 8.1 with the protype titler. Everytime I open it up the program crashes. No biggie, don’t like the feature much anyway, but I hope nothing else crashes. So far I like 8.1 though….

8.1 works fine for me, but unfortunately 3rd party softwares are not up to speed just yet.

Blackmagic Design and Raylight haven’t quite caught up yet. Hope they do soon. As of right now I am still using 8.0b because of the functionality.

Yep…i keep reminding most of this major factor.
Totally migrating to a 64bit workflow will cut functionality
a lot, which i don’t recommend. But great to have alongside
    your 32bit.

I have searched for the trial of Vegas 8.1 (64 bit) to no avail. I can download 8.0c trial (32 bit), and the 8.1 update … but no trial edition of 8.1. The 8.1 installs, but asks for a key instead of letting me choose to run in trial mode. Is there a 8.1 trial or trial key? Thanks.

Thanks anyway … It appears there is no trial version of 8.1 available.
