Hi Steve,

I have a similar problem and unfortunately the cards were recorded over so there’s no possibility of getting the full card structure. I only have the .mov files. The footage plays back stuttering.
ANYTHING I can do? I need to edit in FCP.

Nick,
Perhaps you can help me. I’m using a G Raid ext. hard drive. It ran out of room.
So I transferred and deleted A LOT of media off it. But it still says 0 KB available.
I remember there’s something one should do when this happens…but what????

I don’t know where else to post this.

David, perhaps you can help me too!

1) I have Canon 7D footage that is already on a hard drive. I brought it into
a project in FCP. The footage is stuttering playing back. When I edit into the timeline
every shot needs rendering. Once rendered it plays back fine.

2) What is the proper way to bring media from a Canon 7D card into FCP? I’ll be
getting that today.
