If not I think you could have the actor walk in and do a regular jump and you could time-remap it so he slows into a stop at the peak of his jump. You could roto him out during the whole sequence and have the traffic moving the whole time in the background, as long as you shot some footage of the traffic moving the actor not in the frame.

Bring it into AE, do whatever you need to do with it, add it to the render queue. Then click on the text next to thw words “output module.” Change the format to any type of image sequence such as Tiff of Targa. Just make sure under channels it says “RGB + Alpha.” Also, depth has to say something like “Millions of colors +” or “Trillions of Colors +.” The plus sign indicates that an alpha channel can be exported. Also, keep in mind that you can add extra output modules to do things like exporting the RBG channels separate form the alpha.

Nope, After Effects Project files (.aep) are not text based. Some apps like Maya can save files as human readbale (.ma) text or in non-human readbale (.mb) text for faster loading.

I had a comp with about 300 solids and on the top one I had the fill efect with an expression for Fill Color. I copied this expression using Edit > Copy Expression Only and pasted into onto 299 or so other layers, without realizing the otehr layers didn’t have the “Fill” effect. I then had to click through 299 error messages. Not fun.

First of all in After Effects you can either export or use the render queue . I always use the Render Queue, its more flexible and has more options. To make an animated .gif use the following:
– Set up your comp
– Add your comp to the Render Queue (or press Ctrl + Shift + / )
– Click on “Output Module” and go to “Animated Gif”
– Smile and enjoy your .gif

Your welcome. 🙂
