Hi Steve, thanks for your reply. With ShotPut Pro you select the mounted card in the menu and it clones the contents without manually dragging and dropping. When the error occurred, I manually went into the card contents and found that the 5 or 6 clips would not play and had the strange file extensions and the sony file extension. I have not a clue as why there is a Sony file extension. We do not have any Sony cameras that use CF cards. Under normal conditions, I usually have a MOV followed by a THM for one clip. The concern here is why the 5 corrupted files and why the “jVI_$775.thm” “jVI_$781.jOV” and “YMG_$776.SR2” extensions.

Forgot to add that the card used was a SanDisk Extreme CF 60MB/s UDMA 16GB.

One work around this is to hold the option key, click and move the copied clip to where you want it. The other way would be to change the Auto Select of the time time. Generally when you copy a clip and paste, it will paste that clip onto the track the original clip was on.

Check you audio out settings. This means the audio out in final cut and the audio out in your system preferences.

Hi Kevin. I have full quality checked and still see the issue. This has me stumped. I’m not sure why it is difficult to create crisp looking text in Premiere.

Yes, it is the same frame size. I’m working in DVCPROHD 720P. Paused and Play resolution is at full. When paused the text is blurry.

Thanks Ann. One more questions for you. I’m noticing that text that I create in the titler is blurred when set in my sequence. I does not show that it is scaled over 100% and is still blurry looking after rendering.

You could achieve that effect by using variable speed key framing. Double click your clip and look in the view under Motion. At the bottom is your speed curve where you can add key frames.

Thanks Shane for the response. Wow, that is a bit scary its the P2 connectors in the camera. How would you recommend the proper way of cleaning the inside bay of the camera and the P2 cards so I can avoid this problem?
