    Control ‘Copy and Paste’ clips

    When I copy and paste a clip in the timeline it seems to paste on whatever track it feels like. I know I’m missing something. How do I control which track to paste to?

    One work around this is to hold the option key, click and move the copied clip to where you want it. The other way would be to change the Auto Select of the time time. Generally when you copy a clip and paste, it will paste that clip onto the track the original clip was on.
