That’s exactly what I’m asking. I need a way to render just once. God bless.

Thank you Mark. That’s a complete tutorial!

Regarding “Reading a book on tape is not television, nor is it usually something we should be calling effective training,” I totally agree with that. I have this client who wants me to make a training video where he wanted the WHOLE SCRIPT be part of the subtitle. I told him that, not only will it fill the whole screen, it will also take away the viewers attention from the actual demonstration that we’ve shot… or vice-versa. I told him that it’s not how video works. But since I don’t want to lose the job, I went ahead and put the script on screen but begged him to let me edit it so it doesn’t fill the whole screen.

Can I quote you and put your post on my website? It’s very very informative and I’d like to educate some clients. Thanks and God bless.

Hi Mark. I’ve always been in situations where the client can’t afford a 2 camera setup so I’ve shot them with just 1 camera. How do you do it and still make it look like a TV show that shows the talent from one angle to another while he’s talking? Thanks and God bless.

I think I have the same problem as Richard’s but instead of Final Cut, I’m using Premiere Pro 2.0. What export settings should I use for my clips so I can use them in AE 7? The clips I’m using now are SD (although some HDV clips for other projects are coming soon). Thanks and God bless.

Yes, but by bringing an MPEG 2 file to Encore instead of an AVI, Encore doesn’t need to transcode anymore since it already received an MPEG2 file from Premiere. There’s no need to transcode because the file is already MPEG2. Am I thinking correctly? God bless.

Thanks Joe. I’m using Encore to build a DVD with menus. I was told that by rendering it in Premiere straight to MPEG2, I’ll be able to save time because Encore won’t have to transcode it from AVI to MPEG2 (in case I choose to send an AVI file to Encore). Is this right? God bless.

Ok. That means until I get the new CS3, there’s no point in buying multi-cores. Thanks Harm.

  • Thanks Daniel. The intel q9450 is still not available from the shops here and if it is, it’s probably still expensive. BTW, do you think that AE CS3 can more efficiently use the Q6600?
