That’s like saying, “If anyone has the latest Bruce Springsteen CD, I would be willing to offer some copies of my expansive Jackson Browne library in return” …it’s illegal.
You don’t own that artbeats library, you purchased the right to use it in content you create.

I have a Manfrotto 234RC on my monopod just for this purpose and it works great with a DSLR with battery grip and heavy lenses. That should make it sufficient for an EX-1/1R and possibly EX-3. Sometimes I just lock it at 90 degrees and use my monopod as a handlebar for the camera for extra stability.
It’s cheap, too. B&H has ’em for under $45 and your local camera store probably does as well.

I don’t think it’s possible to do ProRes on a Windows machine. If that’s changed and I’m wrong, you will have made me a really happy guy by telling me how to do so. 🙂 I worked on Mac at my last job and really liked ProRes, haven’t found a suitable replacement on Windows.

I changed jobs in March and want to upgrade to HD here at my new job – reading these reviews leads me to believe that I want to migrate to XDCAM EX cameras like I did my last facility, and skip NXCAM entirely. I appreciate the sample images and diligent reviews.

I list my video gear on my homeowners’ insurance in great detail (model #, purchase info, serial #). It’s covered since I’m a freelancer; I don’t have a business through which to insure it. I may have had to up my coverage a little bit in order to account for the extra dollar amount, I forget…but it’s easy if you have a good agent.

If you are on a 32 bit system, you cannot install Premiere Pro CS5. For users who purchased a bundle such as Production Premium CS5 or CS5.5, Adobe included a disc with Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4. Since you’re already running that, you’re upgraded as far as you can go on that system.

The Kramer VP-473 looks like it will do exactly what you’re looking for. I use a lot of Kramer equipment for my remote stuff, which is unfortunately still analog SD…but I’m very happy with it.

I got to replace one of those when a PA tipped the camera off the top of the tripod once. It’s a hoot but definitely a self-repair if you have any technical proficiency. I’d suggest opening that up and checking the connection of the tiny little ribbon cable that leads to the LCD first. Here’s a link to the exploded diagram. If the little LCD unit is bad, that’s still only a $154 on the parts list.
In our case, the entire rear viewfinder cabinet was broken/bent, so I got to replace pieces going all the way to the hinge on the frame. It’s not an overwhelming job if you’ve got some patience and really little screwdrivers!

That looks mechanical, like something on the image stabilization seriously freaked out. Notice that the image itself didn’t jump upward…it seems to have accurately recorded while the alignment of the lens itself changed.
