1. you need to have 10.8 installed then install MC7 …. then upgrade to 10.9 … keeping in mind
there are a few known issues that are being solved as we speak.2. we are currently testing MC 7.0.3 which does install over 10.9 but had not been released to the general public yet.

I use Boris BCC AE to go from Avid to After Effects. I pull the keys in Avid with Boris then transfer to AE to refine.
