    Hey Guys,

If anyone is wondering, we just tried to install MC 7.0.2 onto a test machine with a clean install of 10.9

Doesn’t even install… we just get a message saying:

    “The installation failed.

The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.”

We have enabled allowing Apps to be downloaded from “Anywhere” and tried repairing disk permissions also.

Once again, this was off a clean installation.

Has anyone else had any luck?

    Simon.

There are posts on the Avid forums that Maverick is not yet supported and that it shouldn’t be installed.

Yeah, we installed it on a test machine. We always have a test system running a version above our production systems – just so we know what we’re looking at if we need to buy a new machine.

I read the Avid thread, and saw the listed problems, but they never said it wouldn’t install at all…

When will this patch be out? I desperately need to get a Media Composer trail installed to finish my school exam!

Still looking at a few weeks yet…

Hmm okay, such a shame – I really need it 🙁 There is no way I can just get the installation to pass, then I will live with the errors?
