Can’t and yep – coming (announced) in V12.

Production Design, Art Direction, and, as Sascha said, Lighting, Camera and CGI.
Don’t let clients bring in poorly executed crap and blame you for it not looking like a TEAM of PROFESSIONALS shot it. Some of my easiest sessions have been the highest budget productions. ALL of my worst sessions were triage on poorly planned, poorly executed, “fix it in post” shoots.
Not being a smart ass (much) but there is a lot more than just color grading going on here, bet the initial “look” only took three to five nodes / layers, before windowing.

Venue color grading! Did a spot for the new baseball stadium here in Charlotte, think the screen was set on 150% chroma, tried to talk with the stadium folks about what the gamma / color space was to no avail. Trimmed chroma way down and it was ok. Sometimes close is all you can ask for!

No problems here, MP 5.1 2×2.66, 40GB ram, Sys 10.9.4, Desktop Video 10.1.2, R11 release. Had a BM card issue when I did a Scratch Demo install but the new Desktop Video fixed it.
Adobe CC line can be a little flaky but seems to be getting better.
Good Luck!

I’m on Resolve 11 Release and Neat 3.5 with no problems.

Did a a great job on the character replacement though! Better than AE! Where is that button? 😉

July 27, 2014 at 1:22 am in reply to: Upgrading 2K system to 4K – AMD R9 290X2, Nvidia Titan Black or Titan Z ?Running TI Black non-flashed for several months. Minor annoyances when upgrading system software – make sure you have the ability to log in via remote desktop and keep an old mac video card card around if all else fails!
Doing Sony 4k and everything else.
On 10.9.4 OS and latest Resolve 11 beta, cuda and Nvida web driver are latest as well.
FCP 7, FCP X (latest) and Adobe CC are all fine, although I mainly use Resolve so YMMV.
Saphire as of today doesn’t use Open CL so that’s why I went the way I did.
Use Ti for GPU, an Apple monitor and a FSI 2340 @ 1920×1080 for scopes, second monitor doesn’t seem to kill performance, at least not enough to outweigh the benefits.
As always, if using a higher powered card, I recommend a PSU for the GPU card.
Good luck, if you get a fast GPU and SSD for the system drive you’ll never go back!
