    For me, anytime I add any coremelt transition, I get an instant crash. I uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. I cannot even preview a transition without instant crash. CoreMelt effects seem to work fine though. They also preview fine.

    Timelines with CoreMelt effects will some CoreMelt effects will get a “V twin fx plugin” crash. Beware.

    I am missing some hair because of FCPX? No question! Every time I use it on a project, it become harder and harder to go back to 7. There are certain elements of FCPX such as the keyer and color correction that I love and for spot editing, it is killer fast.

    Glad it is working for you now. I rolled the dice and updated from 10.6 to 10.8 without doing a clean install. So far no problems except some of my PowerPC applications no longer being supported.

    I upgraded to Mountain Lion and have no problems opening LiveType. I just revised a spot in which I used LiveType’s glow effects on text and it opened fine.
