Here’s my take, you actually set camera at 720p not 720pn native so you never used “Remove Pulldown and Duplicate Frames” in FCP and now you see duplicate frames which is actually 59.94p and still looks good in quicktime player because its all progressive.

I was messing around and made some cool wingding fonts turn into 3-d blobs with skew and blur that morph and change color inside and out like LSD bubbles. Very cool. take that 3-d max,:)

what happens if you try using quicktimeplayer’s export file? Does it still crash? That one test will answer about 20 questions.

maybe your title animation was exported out at 29.97 with a 3:2 pulldown and then reversed pulldown wrong cadence 2:3:3:2 instead of 2:3:2:3 in FCP?

did you have autosave on in preferences? and also there should be a weird looking aep file called temp43534.aep that was your old saved file even if autosave is off. It has saved me too.

if you use shatter effect and use layer of the font and turn gravity off, set all the values for Force 1 and Force 2 to 0, it will make your 2-d fonts go 3-d and you can rotate, zoom, pan, fly, etc, any font without the need of 3-d plugins. tut here

DVD + RW is a very new standard for older DVD players. That’s why most commercial burns are DVD-R not +R or RW. Even better is a DVD-9 disk. They hold 8.4GB and are the same ones used by Blockbuster etc.

You could import alpha channeled AE fonts if you like those better. Dynamic link works ok if not a bit slow. I only mentioned deshaking a rough cut because its less exporting, file size, and workload.
***”Is that the work flow?”*** Yes, at least mine. Dynamic link would be so slow laying comps in, I don’t think you’d be able to tell what you’re editing, but its your show.
