yes, test,test,test.
There’s a thousand tweaks to it, plus custom mattes, vectors etc interlaced/deinterlaced. Post in the reelsmart forum to get help from Peter.
remember, below 50%, render out and import again. Don’t go 100% to 10% in one pass and expect good results.
try to get as high a fps before you use it. It helps a lot.

from the trial, as far as I can remember, it added a little preset for different dv color types and gpu acceleration.

if you set the final output comp(it was 23.976 in my example) to the same fps as the rest of the comps(29.97), it will smooth out your pan.

AE has kronos built in, renamed as timewarp.

keep in mind, 24fps works best hand-in-hand with 1/48 shutter, so the motion blur hides the fast motion judder. Now if you want smoothness with no blurring whatsoever, you’ll need to choose a higher fps.

only cs5 supports that. in the meantime, you can use Super(a free converter) to put them into quicktimemotionjpeg, png, avi uncompressed, animation, etc.

interpret settings? most are srgb, test with view-simulate output, also try reimporting into ae again. it could simply be the picture viewer program you’re using doesn’t support imbedded color profiles.
also, utility profile converter in ae burns in profiles so others can enjoy the pictures without special software. -
if you had a chip/color chart for both, matching would be easier. One camera will always have more latitude and contrast so you’ll probably need to match grain, exposure, saturation. A davinci would make this easier in post.
too bad you can’t rent another hmc150 or at least a gh2.

the “REC HIGHLIGHT” feature works in video mode. it’s not exactly like 550’s zebra, but hey, who cares!
