Can I import, and edit and manipulate .flv video’s into AE CS3?

I know I can write out an .flv, so why does it not seem to want to let me bring them in?

Short of working directly with the .flvs, any recommendations on a good means of converting them to something else AE can see?

only cs5 supports that. in the meantime, you can use Super(a free converter) to put them into quicktimemotionjpeg, png, avi uncompressed, animation, etc.

I usually recommend MPEG Streamclip for converting files of various formats into something more consistent. Also free…
