But if you have an upgrade version of FCS, don’t you still need to re-install the first versions first even if you have a clean install?

What kind of connection is your external on? If its only USB that could be an issue, go for Firewire 800 or eSata if possible.

I currently have it installed on two machines, so will I need to completely remove the program to install in on the rented computers?

what sort of problems? can I capture scratch to an external then copy them over to my main HDD?

you need to detach the source from the audio tracks on to the left of the timeline, refer to the picture on this site since I know I’m not making any sense.

when you insert/overwrite/whatever the clip into the timeline or canvas, make sure that only the sources for v1, a1, and a2 are selected, the other audio tracks will not be brought into the timeline, as far as specifically DELETING them from the source file, that I am not sure of.

yes.. it is my boot drive, i have one drive, a Raid 5 array of four 500GB drives, why is this an issue? i have never had a problem before?
