  • How many computers can you install on liscence of Final Cut Pro on?

I know you can only use it on one computer at a time (at-least if they are connected to the internet). But will you ever come to a point were Apple says, no you cannot install Final Cut on this computer because it is already on too many computers? I will be using rented computers to edit at a trade show, and I do not want to run out of licensees, my Main editing system will remain in NY so I will only need to run one at a time.

I think that you can install it in as many computers as you want, as far as it runs only in one at a time.

    Two.

One Desktop and one Laptop per the license agreement included with your software.

I believe your EULA states you can have 2 copies installed at once: one for your workstation and one your laptop.

So just make sure to uninstall those FCP seats on the rented machine when you are through.

I currently have it installed on two machines, so will I need to completely remove the program to install in on the rented computers?

According to the license, yes. Also, if you plan to network the computers together, they will not operate. FCP will only actually operate on one computer at a time. If two are networked together, it will see the same serial number and quit on one of the machines.
