yes i’m using sapphire. geniusdv was actually the site that i was following while doing it. i’m not sure which part that i messed up on, but when i think i have to take the graphic fill out? when i do that the screen goes black and then the video won’t come on until after the effect is over. i’ve tried to drag the clip directly off the clipboard, but that’s still a no go.

i tried replacing the clip, and even took out the audio. I tried a whole new sequence with just a picture in there and it still will give me that message.

i made the new black solid above the clip, but i can’t get the lightning to show up on the footage. when i double click on the solid layer, the lightning will show up by itself as if i’m trying to solo it. i did make a new shape layer and it shows up but it just kinda dissapears when i try to put another effect in its place

I got u on that. I’m fine when it comes to lighting and blur effects. now can i do that same thing when making cubes, and circles, lightning etc?

yes. for example, i’d like to use lightning for about 5 seconds. i’d like it to start at 1:26.00, and gradually get bigger and fade out at 1:31.00. how do i use a hold keyframe, i haven’t seen anything about that.
