Cannot add effects to only the title
I have mc 2.7, and I have been all over the net trying to figure out how to add effects to just the titles without affecting the rest of the video. Say if I want to use a glow, I only want the title to glow, not the whole video. I’ve tried to step into the title, set in and out points, copy to clipboard, step back out etc out to the timeline, and it is not working for me. It’s getting very frustrating. If anyone has an idea of what to do please respond back

yes i’m using sapphire. geniusdv was actually the site that i was following while doing it. i’m not sure which part that i messed up on, but when i think i have to take the graphic fill out? when i do that the screen goes black and then the video won’t come on until after the effect is over. i’ve tried to drag the clip directly off the clipboard, but that’s still a no go.

Well just drop the sapphire effect on to the title and in the effects pallete there is a check box “effect title only” or something like that.
If that dosen’t work, you can:
1st, drop “S_MakeRGB” onto the title.
2nd, Alt Drop your effect
3rd, Alt Drop “S_Layer” ontop.Scott Cumbo

niice the sapphire worked. now is there a way that i could add multiple effects to that one title?
