I could have sworn on some demos i have seen 2 power windows in one node? Say a CPW and a LPW with a to subtract for matte/mask Was I imagining things?
Or was there a mixer node in there i missed?

Yeah I got lucky and got the SDI board used and was fairly cheap they were selling a bunch from the olympics a year back. I totally saw the difference. How has that color solution been working for you? I had a THX guy come in and probe everything etc. I still don’t know how much i can trust the panny though.

Part of it is education of both clients and those above you. If you need more ammo. Think of having to go back and correct stuff that looks wrong.. time and money your company may have to eat the cost of. Also hurts your reputation too. Each client i get in i find that there is a learning curve there.

so far that new xml won’t work with current resolve. I suspect BMD will need to add in support to parse the new AXEL apple extended editing language flavor of XML.

Since you can edit now in resolve. can you send out a set of DPX files for each timeline then make a new session pull in each end to end then render out as one long QT movie? staying with DPX or uncompressed would you lose too much???

With Adobe’s purchase of Iridas it could get interesting!
Adobe is setting themselves up as the new heir apparent now that apple did the fcpx gambit.
BMD will have to start to innovate and keep up at this point.

Yes that sorta was my point. The advantage of the BMD panel is that it was made for Davinci Resolve. Buttons were put in logical places and any feature is almost 1 or 2 button presses away. We shouldn’t have crippled features to sell those. Their benefit is pretty easily justified in the time savings if you are grading a ton of feature work all the time. That I am not disputing and they do sell themselves. For us with a wave or euphonix this is much more of an issue. If BMD is selling free versions now and gearing for both the pro and semi pro markets then I don’t’ think jump to shot # shortcuts on the keyboard is an out of place request.
