Hi
But isn’t that the same? You still have to mask out the part you don’t need and clone stamp the background. And next “paint” the details on a displacement map layer. Or I’m I missing some steps? Will look for tutorials with this information. Thanks!

October 10, 2016 at 7:48 am in reply to: Canon XLH1 HDV control issues with Final CutThat’s what I thought. And I think that’s the problem. Even if the sound settings of the project are set to 32 kHz in the capture modus I can’t set it to 32 kHz. And the problem now is that my Final Cut doesn’t recognise the camera any more.
Why did I have to go analog in a digital world 🙂

October 8, 2016 at 7:41 am in reply to: Canon XLH1 HDV 4 channel sound issues with Premiere CS5it’s an oldie alright. But footage is still beautiful to use for internet movies. So it’s a nice retairment from a “old” broadcast camera.
I’m wondering how they did it 10 years ago. I thought that this old technologie would work faster now than 10 years ago. But apparently it was something to wonder about.
Or did they use a SDI capture device? Will that work with thunderbolt and Premiere CS5?
If firewire isn’t the solution I’m open for suggestions.

October 7, 2016 at 5:43 pm in reply to: Canon XLH1 HDV control issues with Final CutNo only the first 2 channels.
The weird thing is, the sound plays in the camera during the capture. But once I play the MPEG the sound from Channel 3 end 4 is not their.
Also in CS5 I can’t seem to change the audio setting from 48000Hz to 32000Hz. I think that’s the problem. Just not sure how to fix it.
My FCP 6.0.6 keeps crashing now so I can’t capture anymore via FCPChristophe from Belgium

October 7, 2016 at 5:29 pm in reply to: Canon XLH1 HDV control issues with Final CutNot via SDI.
I use the Thunderbolt port from my iMac (Late 2013) and use a FireWire Adapter to connect the Canon XLH1.Just tried it in Premiere Pro CS5, same problem. Perfect picture and 2 channel audio. Only the 3 en 4 channel aren’t importerd/captured.
According adobe, canon and FC it should work but for some reason it doesn’t.

October 7, 2016 at 3:11 pm in reply to: Canon XLH1 HDV control issues with Final CutSo first things first. I know this is a old post. But I found a Canon XLH1 with a DV tape where there is 3 channel audio.
Turning the SDI output on and the AV/DV option on did it for captureing via FC. But I can’t get the 3 channel audio. Only the first two.
Any ideas?

February 16, 2012 at 8:56 am in reply to: Projection/merging for map unfolding.I see. It makes sense. I did most of the things you write, but I didn’t prep the map in PSD.
I masked out the rectangle from the map and animated those on the fold lines. Parented a white solid (mask out the back) to the back of each rectangle.Let’s try it again with a prep map in PSD.
Thanks Ted
