If you’re going live into FCP, I would run it thru a mixer and look @ your levels. Choose capture now and set the deck control to none (non-controllable)and look @ your levels in FCP as well.

I think a lot of FCP users still use adobe products. We use PhotoShop and After Effects all the time. We use Episode to compress finished videos to flash files.

You can just output a reference file from your FCP time-line and bring it into AE and render out and bring file back into FCP with ease.

Go on, make the leap – you’ll be glad u did!

Use mpeg streamclip to rip the DVD to .mov file.

    Edit mov in FCP

Send file to compressor to create new dvd file.
    Burn disc.

You can also rip to mv2 files in MpegSC and drop them into DVD Studio pro and burn new disc.

Did you try sound track pro? to convert to .aiff?
That’s what we use for non- .aiff files to convert.

Sometimes having a Ext. FireWire Drive AND capturing from a Camera via Firewwire can result in capture issues.

Now, I have heard audio drops during capture but they were fine during playback…

Are you daisy chaining the drives? Do you have a deck also hooked up by firewire? Try hooking both drives up to separate ports?

You’ll have much better luck renting a cyc wall for a day @ a studio setup for this. Much easier.

Just apply size and angle key frames to you clip. Rez up clip to 105% or something and tilt it a couple degrees and then snap back. You can copy the properties and apply to other clips once you have it the way you like it.
