Ya, you don’t want your media on an internal drive – unless it’s a seperate drive from the OS. Stripped drives would be preferred.

It’s not that bad.
Pick 720p or 1080p to edit in. Run the clips of the other thru compressor to conform or cross-rez to the chosen format.

Can the grfx person re-submit the opener in HD? Tell them ur editing in HD.Compress final HD file to DVD NTSC.

If your images are around 20-30% in size then you are NOT using 80% of the images – it is wasted energy so to speak.
I understand want it to have them a little large to move on them but what I’m saying is try – and your mileage may very – shrinking the images down some and re-importing or re-linking them.
If it’s 4000 pixels wide – drop em down to 1800 pixels wide and then relink and adjust in timeline and render.

Scroll down select Spanish.Then in Finder – you should have flag choices in upper right. Change flag(Language) to the one you want tot work in.

If you open a anamorphic still in PhotoShop you have to choose view image and select widescreen to display the pixels properly.

Also, I find having still images really large don’t look as good having them @ 20-30% in timeline. Try taking stills back to PS and making them half as a big and then bring back in to the FCP.

If the plug-in doesn’t do it for you. Double up your video layer on track 1 and 2. Scale up only the layer on track one and blur it. Crop the problem edge out on track 2. Depending on the footage and the size of the crop, just an idea.

Are you going Firewire from the mac to the HDV deck?
