You are rendering full render right? Best settings? View on Broadcast monitor? Didn’t see this mentioned…

Definitely always better to get the original then ripping a compressed DVD file. Good Luck!

Where these DVD’s you ripped SD DVD’s? If so, you can only rip a SD file from them. SO, you have HD and SD clips going on.

Stick with the format, size files you have the most of and edit in that. Transcode the others w/compressor to match. Then import.
Rezing up ur SD clips from a ripped DVD will not be pretty.

Because these formats kind of work sometimes, but not really. They should be transcoded.

    Double up the video track.
Crop top track to right next to the blemish.
Move top track ontop of blemish
    blur edges of crop.
    track moves.

I would start a new proj.
Keep proj files on an internal HD
    Keep media on Media Drives
    set drives to no sleep.
Set backups to an internal drive.

Wow, Well there is a ton of HD formats and frame rates and options when shooting. You need to read up on HD formats.

Don’t convert/compress/transcode your finished vid b/4 going to dvd – this is adding another step of compression (bad)

    Shot and edit in HD.
Output current settings making a ref file.
    Drop that into compressor
    make dvd files
    import into DVDSP
    Burn.

  • Like working from tapes, as long as you’re organized, it’ll be fine.
Make sure all your card media is folder organized (your reels).
    Back up your card masters.
