Use Mpeg Stream clip to rip dvd’s to DV50 files.

I believe so yes, I don’t have the cam in front of me.
Choose interval recording.

Well the 2f is the default, if you cannot change that then you need to make sure you are set up correctly to interval record.

Did you select interval record?
Are you in 720 record mode?

You can edit DVCPRO HD and HDV all day long on your setup.
Don’t worry about it.

Wow, that is a confusing post.

Trying to make a Mpeg2 file?

Export from FCP “Current Settings” Make a ref file.
Drop that into compressor. Choose DVD preset.
Adjust data rate based on your program length.

Then you should be able to import P2 Files.
It sounds like ur missing some part of the original card structure?

P2CMS from cards to HD
FCP import from HD
