Try crop.
Then Scale.
Zooming in past 100% may not look the best – FYI

I would say Yes. Convert all to proRes. This will make it easy for you and the comps.

Open the PowerPoint Project first. Output stills to .png files – then import into FCP.

May have to make a stop in PhotoShop along the way to tweak.

Make sure it matches the format you are capturing from.

You can google that one easy enough. On the WIN side it’s real easy. For Macs, not as easy – As far as I know anyway.

Your render files are located where you tell FCP to put them.

System Settings under Final Cut pro menu.

Now, when you edit is locked. Go into Sequence settings and change the compressor setting to what you want.

Then you have to re-render all @ that point. Just make sure you are rendering all.

We Use “Episode” compression software with good results.

How are you viewing the still after export?
I’ve not seen this happen. It should export the size of your vid.
