    Hello,

    I have a problem. I can not capture anything since I performed an OS upgrade. I have tried a lot of different ways to set up the capture preset, but I always get the same message: Unable to initialize capture device. I am using HDV and a MAC OS X 10.6.5. What am I doing wrong? Please help me.

    did you try an “easy setup” first?
    Make sure it matches the format you are capturing from.

    Is your camera set do down convert HDV to DV?

    You should know that Pro Apps like FCP can have problems if you simply upgrade a OS or upgrade your version of FCP. It is best to clone your drive, erase it and then start fresh.
