You’re in PAL land, you want to shoot in 50i.
In the states were NTSC – 60i.

Yes, 24p native only in the 720p mode. But you still can shoot 25p in 1080. It’ll be wrapped in a 50i container.

Color correcting will have nothing to do with playback choppiness.
Your vid looks fine. It’s a compressed file for web.
Want it cleaner and smoother? Up the data rate when compressing for web.

In 720 mode it looks clean.

It looks like you shot 720p_60

Did you compress to a 30FPS file? Youtube prefers that I believe.

Also: Height: 702 pixels
This doesn’t make sense. You should compress using the same size as the original 720 file if you want an 720pHD option on the u-tube version.

You can’t use USB for Video Editing. You will have problems.
Use Firewire or internal SATA.

Well, DVD files are ONE size for SD-DVD’s

~ 720X480

Then there is anamorphic or not.

Encode your files with Compressor. WideScreen.

You my end up with distorted images.

You are best to create a 720X480 sequence and manipulate your images within that.

Does everything end up on web only?
If so, Shoot DV50 16×9 OR 720p_60, these would be your smaller sizes.
Go 1080i for best DVD quality.

Always back up your entire card structure on multiple drives.

You can fake it with odd sizes by putting black behind your video track.
Choose a standard size to edit.
Shrink/crop video.

Do you have mics?
Is there house audio?
We’d tap into the house audio if available.

Do you have a sound tech on the job? Running a mixer?

Wireless lav on presenter.
Wireless Handheld on stand or passed around for Audience.

The hard part is getting all questions using the mic.
