well they are videos comming from a 3d program.
easy set up is
1280×720
PAR =square
FD=none
TIMEBASE=30
COMPRESSOR=UncompressedI just noticed that my sequence compressor though is set to AJA2vuy
but Im noticing that the movies that i get out of the 3d program some are aja and some are uncompressed ( i gotta fix that) but there is one clip that has borders around it in FCP and another that doesnt and they both are the same formats..
AS far as my exports out of FCP i didnt export it yet becuase i want to figure out how to get these boxes off.

Ernie I am waiting to hear back from them to see exactly what time of camera it was. But the files i have are 108030p not 60p

All i have is the quicktime files.. do you mean when i import them off the p2 card? Im sorry if I sound dumb haha I’m just confused.

Oh yes that makes sense i was asking how I would tell them to seend me the footage in the native p2 because right now all they know how to do is to transfer through final cut.

what would my compressor be set to then? When i do an east set up for 24pa my seq compressor stays at 1080p30

jeremy I did watch your tutorial! Very good! I was just confused about the fact if i needed the actually p2 or i could just request the native p2 directory. HOw would I tell them to go about doing that?
Since they usually do it through fcp i believe. -

my seq settings are set up right( i believe) the seq is set at
frame size 1280×1080
aspect ratio 16:9
frame rate 29.97
compressor DVCPRO HD 1080PNow is it possible that they maybe transfered it from the P2 to the hard drive wrong?
you think that maybe it wasnt shot 1080p but why would the .mov files say that they are those settings then?

there is a red bar over it when i add the text. Thats what I dont understand. The footage is actually render out of Maya. But its exported as 1280 by 720. 30 fps. Aja cona 2vuy compressor
