    HI Ive been having this problem and i cant figure out what is wrong with it. The Videos the i am bringing in to FCP are reading at 1280×720.
    But in quick time it is saying that they are 1248 x702 ( i am not resizing the quicktime video either.

    In FCP i am getting a black border around each video.( Which I DO NOT get in quick time) My sequence settings are set to 1280 x720… ANYONE KNOW WHATS UP?

    the first image is the video opened in Quick time the 2nd image is the video open in FCP. Notice the black border.

    Black border around your clips mean that clips are not matching the sequence settings.
    Describe your workflow for ingest precisely.
    Format
    Tape or Log and Transfer
    Final Cut Pro > Easy Setup
    Mac Info
    FCP Version

    Also, your export workflow

    well they are videos comming from a 3d program.
    easy set up is
    1280×720
    PAR =square
    FD=none
    TIMEBASE=30
    COMPRESSOR=Uncompressed

    I just noticed that my sequence compressor though is set to AJA2vuy

    but Im noticing that the movies that i get out of the 3d program some are aja and some are uncompressed ( i gotta fix that) but there is one clip that has borders around it in FCP and another that doesnt and they both are the same formats..

    AS far as my exports out of FCP i didnt export it yet becuase i want to figure out how to get these boxes off.

    thanks!
