After Effects will never go away. I’m sure you can do a lot of cool and lucrative stuff with Motion, but it is so different in terms of interface and utility, I don’t really put them in the same category.

Hey Steve,
I did as I always do, using BlackMagic capture presets, all normal, 29.97 as you decribe. The stuttering was MAJOR in areas of high motion.
Good news is that my third attempt at pulldown removal seems to have worked, no more stutter in the DVD and a very happy client.

With my Dual 1.42 G4 and Tiger I have had no FireWire problems, I have a LaCie 500 gig Big Disk Extreme, a Maxtor 250 gig FW400, and a Promax 500 gig two drive RAID hooked up to it. None of the above problems.
Go figure…

All of the above replies about HQ in QT should not be intended to omit the need for a decent NTSC monitor.

If your source is DV it ain’t gonna get better no matter what you set it at. Also, if you’re looking at your movie in QT on a computer, it will look much worse than it would from FCP on a good NTSC monitor.

Sonofa, it was 5 to 11 when I looked at the TV guide, and Y and the R came on at 11!
The credits over the beginning are in the Clarendon family. The show titles in red are a san-serif italic that is kinda stylized, never seen it before. I had my camera set up and I got a shot of it. It’s not very clear, but it’s something. Shoot me an e-mail and I’ll send you a pdf of it..
