I have 2 Promax Firemax 500s and they are rock solid. They are two-drive hardware RAIDS with removable drives. Just the best.

Peak DV which you should have, had a gain adjustment feature. It increases the gain and changes the waveform accordingly, just be careful not to overdo it.

I tried the same thing last weekend, FCP5 kept turning off “All frames” so no video out. I had the Blackmagic 5.0 drivers installed, it just would work. If you try selecting “all frames” you may get video, but for me it kept turning itself off.
There were also terrible quality issues with type that I see many folks in here also have had. I re-installed Panther, all way too buggy for me at present.

Could you elaborate a bit on how you set up presets for Compressor?
Good to know, but it still doesn’t do Windows media or Real files, no?

Wouldn’t you agree that Compressor is somewhat limited as to file formats? The other two make just about anything, plus have a gazillion presets for the Web.
