Wondering if anyone else is haing a problem with their decklink card after installing fcp 5. Having a heck of a time trying to get the video output to my NTSC monitor. Card is working fine with After Effects. I can sometimes get a still image depending on my settings and oddly enough was able to get a still image when I changed the background color from black to white – go figure. But I can’t seem to get real time video output when using a DV easy setup and manually changing the AV settings to video output Blackmagic DV 720×480. This was running smoothly with fcp4.5 for a year. I was able to get video running with fcp 5 with an uncompressed setup and the video output set to Blackmagic RGB 720×486 but only through the canvas, never the viewer.

Are you running 5 on Tiger?

Blackmagic has released new drivers https://www.blackmagic-design.com/support/detail.asp?techID=68

    Todd,

I tried the same thing last weekend, FCP5 kept turning off “All frames” so no video out. I had the Blackmagic 5.0 drivers installed, it just would work. If you try selecting “all frames” you may get video, but for me it kept turning itself off.

There were also terrible quality issues with type that I see many folks in here also have had. I re-installed Panther, all way too buggy for me at present.

This has been brought up before. Make sure you don’t have any Automatic Duck plugins. If you do, throw them in the trash (or back them up or whatever). Your video output will come back on.

Really? Throw out AutoDuck? EEps. I might wait for the dust to settle even more on OS Tiger before I make the leap. Sounds like there’s too many scary things going on.
