    Rick,

Well that’s good you’re getting it. For long form capturing I highly recommend BTVpro. It’s a great little program, great for time lapse and still capture too.

Hey Graeme, I thought it was really great, and BTW, I would hardly refer to you as a “regular guy!” Can’t wait to see your uprez program…

    Rick,

Field order issue? If it is correct, try doing an audio mixdown.

Also check all your connections and cables. I had an issue with my cables to my Huge Media vault which they fixed with new ones.

This has all the answers, read carefully.

  • Rich,

I understand what you want, just put the anamorphic footage into a 4×3 sequence, open the clip in the viewer, go the the motion tab and twirl down distort, and type -33 in the aspect ratio box. Done.

You will see the edges of the clip in image and wireframe spread out and crop the sides.

But as I said in my first post, you will have to shoot wide enough to be able to lose the sides.

    Chris,

I did the 10bit test at 16 bit in AE and it was all normal, no green lines. I don’t have external scopes so I couldn’t compare the levels.

    Hey Chris,

I have a DeckLink SP, and my workflow is pretty much 8 bit, since that’s what Beta is so 10 bit really won’t buy me anything and uses more space.

But, I will do you 10 bit AE test today and get back to you.

    Gary,

In 5 years, I’ve never come across them, wouldn’t give them a second thought.
