    Tarik,

QDesign music 2 is a good Compression for the Web.

  • Paul,

I’m not a techie by any means, but my understanding is that if you output digitally, say to Digibeta, you use -20 and if you output analog like a Beta SP you use -12. I’m not sure why this is so, but I’ve been outputting to beta SP at -12 for 4 years and have never had a dub rejected by any station.

As a QT-based program, if you intend on using QT files on your wWeb site, why not? Although, a compositing program would probably be my first choice.

You would only be dealing with motion content in FCP, you’d still need a Web site program like Dreamweaver, or Freeway to build your site.

You might want to run a disk utility of some kind on your drive, but Shane’s advice on doing a save-as is really good.

    Hey Shane,

That’s a real handy site! Thanks! Geeze, every time I see your name in here I see Alan Ladd, what a great movie.

    Les,

This is a pretty popular topic, My list is somewhere in the archives, but here goes again:

    Joe’s filters
    Eureka!
    Gfilters- all
    G film
    Continuum Complete
    TMTC
    Telly’s filters
    CHV – all
    Silhouette Roto
    DVmatte Pro
    ReelSmart Motion Blur
PanZoom Pro- for Ken Burns effects, absolutely the best.

With all the above, I hardly ever have to leave FCP.

For Motion, DVmatte Blast for keying, will blow you away.

    Sarah,

I have a 23″ Apple display and a 19″ Samsung for my bins and it works perfect. And even then I still lose the cursor sometimes!
